Character & Leadership Development
We empower young people to become responsible, caring citizens and acquire leadership skills for participating in the democratic process. Our service clubs provide opportunities for planning, decision-making, contributing to Club and community and celebrating our national heritage.
Programs that support Character and Leadership Development:
Torch Club is a leadership and service club for boys & girls ages 11-13. The activities help develop young leaders by encouraging and implementing community service projects. Torch club is a powerful vehicle that helps meet the needs of young adolescents at this critical stage in their development.
Keystone Club is a service club for boys and girls ages 14-18 that builds their leadership skills and strengthens their character as they elect club officers, plan and build support for service projects and follow those projects through to completion.
Youth of the Year program recognizes and rewards one chosen teen member each year that has made exemplary life improvements and contributions to the Club and to the community. The Youth of the Year makes presentations on behalf of the Club and receives a scholarship to help with continuing education.
